Following the enactment of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act on 13 October 2006, PartyGaming stopped customers in the US from playing or making deposits on any of the Group's real money sites. As a result, operations located physically outside the US but which relate to customers within the US were discontinued from 13 October 2006. In the year to 31 December 2006, the Group had revenues in its Continuing non-US operations of $325.0m.
Regulated and licensed by the Government of Gibraltar, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, the Group has around 1,200 employees located in the head office and operations centre in Gibraltar, a business process outsourcing operation in India, and a marketing services subsidiary and multi-lingual customer service operations in Europe.
